Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director best known as the star of Birdman. Keaton's versatile acting skills make him proficient in both comedy and dramatic. He also has played several romantic characters and appeared in several action thrillers in his career. As a teenager the actor began developing an interest in acting and performance. In the later years, when he was a youngster, he attempted stand-up humor. It wasn't a success, however it was the beginning of the path to a career in acting. Inability to make it in the field of comedy, he picked up a job as cameraman on television at a cable station. The job at the station was the first time he realized that it was his dream to be on camera. When he was offered a part on television, he appeared in many shows of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. He was an naturally talented actor, and quickly became a household name on the television. His comedic performances earned him fame, and he embarked upon a career as a filmmaker with big dreams. He earned further acclaim by playing the titular superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. With time he matured as an actor, and began to work in direction and production. He won numerous nominations and awards for his performance in the film Birdman.
